Roots Rocket band is hailing from Sofia, Bulgaria. In May 2011, the so-called label presented the offspring of the first Bulgarian reggae band Root Souljah – ROOTS ROCKET.
Throughout the years they have toured around Slovenia, Romania, Greece, and Macedonia. Last summer, the band won the annual competition of Europe’s biggest reggae festival – Rototom Sunsplash for best reggae band from Eastern Europe. The presence of Roots Rocket on the European reggae map increased. The band has held concerts in Serbia, Turkey, Czech Republic and Switzerland. Their last appearance abroad was at Uprising Reggae Festival ( Slovakia ), where they shared the main stage with reggae legends like Israel Vibration, Ky-Mani Marley, Capleton, Macka B, Busy Signal, Protoje , etc.
The organic groove and conscious messages, backed by the captivating brass section add up to the elements of their successful music mission. Set to maintain and expand the presence of roots reggae in Bulgaria and worldwide, the band is currently recording their first full-length album, so stay tuned and enjoy the vibez…
